Recorded in May at Jeff's home studio, Death Folk is a bit mellow compared to his previous work with Bloody Holly and Seattle underground legends SleepCapsule. If you want a fresh dose of depression pick up Death Folk and catch Jeff live as he magically layers guitar parts over introspective lyrics about robots, toilets and gardening. A 1999 finalist in the Jimi Hendrix Guitar Competition, Tobin continues to mangle contemporary music as we know it. The Cure meets Frank Zappa meets a melted crayon.
